Rare resident.
Feeds on lichens on tree trunks and branches, posts and fences.
Flies June/July with larva feeding August to May in a short cylindrical case with a rounded posterior end.

Case: A good quality photo or specimen of the case and plant/pabulum and the bred moth is required.
