Uncommon resident.

Rests on trunks of Sycamore Acer pseudoplatanus and Beech Fagus sylvatica, and flowers of Sycamore and Bluebell Hyacinthoides non-scripta in woodland, and flies in sunshine around Hawthorn Crataegus spp. flowers in old hedgerows.

Early stages not described.
