Fairly common resident in woodlands, roadsides and gardens.

Ballota nigra, Stachys sylvatica, Stachys lanata, Betonica officinalis, Marrubium vulgare, with larva mining leaves from September to May in a plump, pointed, hairy case made from leaf fragments.
