A scarce and local resident on heaths and moors.

Betula spp. especially seedlings, or regenerating bushes, with larva mining the underside of leaves in June to August and again in September October.

Verification Grade Comment: Mine: Reared or puparium cremasters examined.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.

Mine: Moth needs to be reared and, in some cases, possibly dissected.
