A rare and recent arrival in the region.
A species of hedgerows, scrub and gardens.
Overwinters as a larva in a communal web. Adults come to light and may be found resting during the day.
Note Yellow-tail is slightly smaller with more rounded wings and larger spots near the trailing corner of the forewing. The tail is golden yellow whereas in Brown-tail it is a deep chocolate brown. | Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required. | |
