An uncommon resident; declining in Staffordshire.

A species of woodland, hedgerows and calcareous grassland.

Overwinters as an adult in caves, outbuildings, under bridges etc, sometimes in large numbers. Occasionally come to light.

Note Similar to Scarce Tissue but central band usually wider and wing surface is shiny.
