A rare and declining resident.

A species of gardens and allotments. It is more a lowland moth than the Northern Spinach.

Overwinters as an egg while adults fly at dusk and are attracted to light.

Note Similar to Northern Spinach but it has a distinctive resting position, similar to that of Barred Straw.
